What We Offer
- Four hours of exclusive use of our beautifully-restored chapel and its serene outdoor space with spacious turf lawn for your meeting and team-building activities.
- Onsite parking
- Setup and breakdown of guest seating for your team and any of the tables in our inventory (6’ and 8’ banquet tables, and 5’ round tables). Black spandex cloth table covers are included.
- An 85″ Smart TV with HDMI and USB-C cables, perfect for presentations and multimedia.
- A sound system, microphone, and Bose speaker are available for streaming personal playlists from your phone.
- Restrooms are available and located off the outdoor turf area. In the event of rain, OKC staff will provide four umbrellas for your guests to access the restrooms.
- We offer complimentary ice, chilled water, and a coffee station, refilled throughout the day.

Frequently Asked Corporate Questions:
I would like to have the chapel longer than four hours. Is this possible?
Yes, subject to availability, you may extend your chapel use in two-hour increments at a rate of $250 per additional two-hour block. Please inquire about availability when booking your event or as soon as possible to ensure we can accommodate your request.
We have elderly attending. Is there access for a handicapped person?
Yes, we do. A handicap-accessible pad is situated behind the chapel, featuring a ramp for convenient side entry. Onsite chapel parking is available in close proximity, and an OKC staff member can provide golf cart transportation from the Garden Center parking lot to the chapel for those requiring assistance.
Is there parking avaliable on site?
Yes. We have limited parking available directly behind O’Kelly Chapel for convenience. Additional guest parking is available at our sister business, For Garden’s Sake, located just a short walk from the chapel. Clear signage will be provided on the day of your event to help guide guests.
Are there hotels nearby for out-of-town guests?
O’Kelly Chapel is located in Durham- a convenient location, offering easy access to major interstates, shopping centers, and a variety of local amenities. This ensures that guests have convenient travel options and can readily access any necessities or additional entertainment before or after your event.
I would like to have candles on tables, is this acceptable?
Due to the historic nature of O’Kelly Chapel and its preserved wood interior, open flames and candles are not permitted within the building or on the property. We appreciate your understanding in helping us maintain the chapel’s integrity for future generations. Battery-operated candles are permitted for ambiance.
What are the catering options?
We know every team has different needs, so you’re welcome to bring your own snacks or arrange food delivery services for your meeting. Additionally, we can provide pastries, coffee, and light snacks through our trusted local catering partner upon request, making it easy to keep your team fueled and focused.
